# Preparation Steps:
01 - In a chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
02 - Remove the store-bought cake from packaging, trim edges to form a neat rectangle if needed. Place it on parchment paper and level by slicing off any domed top. Roll the cake gently from the short side using the parchment paper, then unroll to form a memory for easier rolling.
03 - Evenly spread the whipped cream filling over the cake surface, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges. Optionally sprinkle mini chocolate chips over the filling. Carefully roll the cake from the short end using parchment paper to guide it tightly into a log. Wrap in parchment and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes for easier slicing.
04 - Divide frosting into separate bowls and tint with various gel food colorings. Apply a base layer over the cake roll, then pipe decorative patterns such as zigzags, dots, and lines using piping or zip-top bags. Embellish with sprinkles, candies, and other edible decorations to create a festive appearance.
05 - Cut the chilled cake roll into 1-inch slices and serve immediately.
