# Preparation Steps:
01 - Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
02 - Gently melt the dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water or use short microwave intervals, stirring until smooth.
03 - Pour the melted dark chocolate onto the lined sheet and spread evenly into a rough rectangle approximately 1/4 inch thick.
04 - Refrigerate for 10 minutes until the dark chocolate layer is set but not fully hardened.
05 - Melt the white chocolate using the same method and incorporate peppermint extract if desired.
06 - Pour the melted white chocolate over the chilled dark chocolate layer and spread it evenly.
07 - Sprinkle the crushed peppermint candies along with optional freeze-dried raspberries and mini chocolate chips, pressing lightly to adhere.
08 - Chill the assembled layers for 20 to 30 minutes until completely set.
09 - Break or cut the bark into irregular, shareable pieces.
10 - Arrange the shards loosely on a wooden board and present for self-serving.
