# Components:
→ Biscuits
01 - 2 cups all-purpose flour
02 - 1/4 cup granulated sugar
03 - 1 tablespoon baking powder
04 - 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
05 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
06 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
07 - 2/3 cup whole milk, cold
08 - 1 large egg
09 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
10 - 1 cup peeled, diced tart apple
11 - 2/3 cup butterscotch chips
→ Caramel Drizzle
12 - 1/3 cup caramel sauce
# Preparation Steps:
01 - Set oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy release.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt until evenly blended.
03 - Add cold cubed butter to the bowl and use a pastry blender or fork to work it in until the mixture forms coarse crumbs.
04 - Whisk milk, egg, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl. Pour over the flour mixture and gently stir until a soft dough begins to form.
05 - Fold diced apple and butterscotch chips into the dough, distributing them evenly.
06 - Drop heaping spoonfuls (about 1/4 cup each) onto prepared baking sheet, spacing at least 2 inches apart.
07 - Place in oven and bake for 16–18 minutes, until biscuits are firm and golden on top.
08 - Allow biscuits to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
09 - While biscuits are still slightly warm, drizzle caramel sauce over each biscuit. Serve warm or at room temperature.
