06 - 1 1/2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
07 - 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
08 - 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
09 - 1/2 tsp salt
10 - 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
11 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
# Preparation Steps:
01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9-inch square or round baking dish.
02 - In a large bowl, combine thawed apples, sugar, cinnamon, flour, and lemon juice. Toss to coat evenly.
03 - Spread apple mixture uniformly in the prepared baking dish.
04 - In another bowl, stir oats, brown sugar, flour, salt, and cinnamon. Mix in melted butter until coarse crumbs form.
05 - Evenly sprinkle oat crumble over the apple base.
06 - Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until topping is golden and apples bubble at edges.
07 - Allow to cool at least 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm, with optional vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
